"Wavy" carob cake

"Wavy" carob cake

Wavy carob cake

Ingredients

flour with baking powder 225 g
baking powder 1 tsp
carob powder 25 g
powdered sugar 100 g
butter 100 g
sour cream 6 tbsp. l.
milk 150 ml

Cooking method

  • Thank you all for your interest in the recipe !!!
  • 1) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. You need a shape with a diameter of 20 cm.
  • 2) Grease the pan with butter. Whisk the softened butter with powdered sugar. Then add sour cream and beat thoroughly. Add half of the sifted flour, baking powder and 2 tbsp. l. milk ( I added 4 spoons and then did not regret) -stir. Then add the remaining flour and 2 more tbsp. l milk (I poured 4 spoons again)-mix.
  • 3) Mix the kerob with the remaining 4 tbsp. l. milk and, adding 2 tbsp. l cake mixture, stir until smooth (beat with a mixer at a minimum speed in a high dish).
  • 4) Toss lightly the keroba mixture with the remaining cake mixture for a ripple effect. Transfer the dough into a mold, slightly leveling the surface.
  • 5) Bake for about 40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.

Note

* About cake-cake: delicious, moist crumb and very interesting taste.
* I added 1 tsp to ordinary flour. baking powder.
* 1 tsp baking powder = 0.5 tsp. soda + 0.5 tsp. citric acid. Recommended: first mix the powder with flour - then sift everything together.
* Carob bought it for fun, as it turned out to be very useful, and got a book on baking there. There were many recipes with carob in it. Here is one of them.
