Cooking method

  • Previously, before the advent of grills and aero grills, such sandwiches were made in a frying pan under a lid. Now you can use different electrical appliances.
  • I suggest you cooking in a pressure cooker. For 1-2 people it is quite convenient. This method can also be useful if there are no other devices at hand.
  • 3 blanks fit freely in the pan. (In the photo you can see 4 slices, I hoped to contain them all.)
  • The sandwiches are delicious, with a delicate crispy bottom.

  • Cut the cheese into thin slices (the thinner the slices, the faster the sandwiches will cook).

  • Cut the sausages lengthwise into 2 or 3 layers.

  • Turn on "Fry" program, pressure - 3, time 10 minutes. Pour in the oil, spread it evenly along the bottom.
  • As soon as the countdown starts and the "P" icon appears, place the blanks. Close the cover, but leave the valve open.
  • Cook for 6-7 minutes. The time depends on the thickness of the cheese and its softness. Once the cheese has melted, the sandwiches can be removed.

I experimented with heating. I liked the result at pressure 3 more. The bottom is crispy.

At a pressure of 2, the crust is less ruddy. But, interestingly, the same amount of time is spent on cooking (on average 6 minutes.). A pressure of 2 is suitable for too hard cheeses, since you can keep the sandwiches longer.

Elena, Great idea for making sandwiches in a pressure cooker! Very interesting! How do you get them out of the pressure cooker? Rather than a spatula or forceps? I liked the version of the stuffing with sausages with them I will try to make such breakfast sandwiches for my son.
