A backing that is too thin or too thick can be easily damaged. they have poor elasticity. It is best to buy a 5 to 10 mm backing.

There are several ways to install carpet:

2. Gluing. This method is used for floors with complex configurations (ramps, stairs, etc.). It is important to choose the right adhesive and follow the instructions for its use. Most often, PVA glue is used. But there is such a coating as jute, when using it, the amount of glue should be minimal, otherwise the carpet will be saturated with glue and stains will remain on it. The adhesive must dry well before placing the furniture.
3. Stretching. This method is used for carpets with increased elasticity. First, slats are nailed to the walls, into which nails are hammered, and then a carpet is pulled over them, always with a substrate. Carpet laid in this way will last longer.
4. Installation with double-sided adhesive tape is the cheapest method mentioned above. With this installation, scotch tape is used, with which the joints are glued. This method is not durable, but for people who often change interior this way is perfect. If the basis is marble, granite, typesetting package, then this method is the only one.When installing the carpet in this way, it is enough to glue only the joints, and attach the edges with a plinth.
