We all love clean and fresh air after rain. I would very much like to breathe easily at home. But this is not easy to achieve. But the state of our health largely depends on the temperature and humidity in the premises. Many, probably, noticed that during the heating season (and especially towards the end of the season, when all hygroscopic finishing materials and furniture have dried out well), an increased thirst appears, the mucous membrane of the lips, nose, eyes dries up, the skin peels off and even painful cracks appear on the fingers hands. Residents of urban high-rise buildings with central heating and plastic windows facing the sunny side are especially affected.
All of this suggests that the indoor air is too dry. Regular ventilation does not create normal humidity and cleanliness of the air in the room. Some people (including myself, it is true, already in the past tense) try to humidify the air with improvised means, for example, put wet towels on radiators or even try to dry clothes in living quarters. However, all these measures do not provide the desired effect.
Having experienced all the "charms" of dry air, I became interested in this issue several years ago. Having studied the available information, I realized that it is almost impossible to achieve normal humidity in a room without special climatic devices (humidifiers).
And so it happened! I received a Polaris PUH 4405D ultrasonic humidifier as a gift.
This is what the box looks like:

And here is the device itself. At first glance, it is quite compact and easy to store. Device dimensions (width / length / height) 22 * 20 * 30 cm. Cord length 150 cm. Touch control panel.

Above is a diffuser through which a "fog", consisting of the smallest droplets of water, enters the room.

The diffuser can be easily removed:

... and behind. Visible handle for easy removal of the water tank (cistern) from the base.

... and below:

Here it is with the lid off. You can see the hole through which water is poured into the tank.

There is a remote control:

The instruction in Russian is quite intelligible and detailed.
Now I can describe in detail a device that has become very useful to me. During operation, I appreciated its advantages and capabilities.
Technical characteristics of the device:
Voltage 220-240 V
Frequency 50 Hz
Power 30 W
Volume of the water tank 5 l
Average water consumption 350 ml / h
The device can work continuously for up to 16 hours. With the built-in timer, you can set the operating time up to 9 hours.
The device during operation:

All buttons are turned on / off with just a light touch of your fingers.
The control panel displays the current temperature and humidity in the room. When I turned on for the first time, the device showed that the humidity in my apartment was 30%. And this is at the recommended 60-70%!
Humidifier equipped with an ionizer that saturates the air with negatively charged ions, making it cleaner and fresher. There is an automatic humidification function and a night mode. (These functions cannot be activated at the same time!) With automatic humidification, you can set the desired humidity, and with night mode, the device automatically maintains a comfortable humidity level of 65-70%. If the humidity in the room is higher than this value, the device switches off automatically. When the humidity drops, it turns on again.
During operation of the humidifier, the intensity of vaporization can be adjusted from the first to the third speed (except for automatic and night modes).
If, during the operation of the humidifier, the tank runs out of water, the device turns off automatically, while an audible signal sounds and the corresponding indicator lights up on the display.
The undoubted advantage of the device is its low noise level. The air temperature in the room does not decrease during its operation. It is easier to breathe indoors after the first use of the humidifier. The device is easy to operate, which makes it accessible to people of different ages and levels of technical skills. This humidifier is equipped with a ceramic filter for cleaning, disinfecting and softening water.
The cost of the device is relatively low.
The disadvantages include the need to use distilled water. When using ordinary tap water, a white coating may form on the surface of objects. And one more drawback: water must be poured regularly and do not forget about it. The device cannot be turned on without water.
The weather at home is not only about comfort, but also about health. The air must be clean. Unfortunately, often the state of health depends on our financial investments.
I wish health to my family and everyone!
